Do They Work?

Lawn care flyers are usually the first thought many have when marketing their lawn care business. Are they a waste of time? Lawn care marketing flyers seem attractive due to the perceived low cost in relation to other landscape marketing methods. Is this really the case?

Are they really inexpensive advertising? How do you gauge the cost of your lawn business marketing campaign? The first measure you need to use is return on investment (ROI). Your “investment “is the money and, just as important, the time expenditure of your advertising. In this regard, flyers fall short due to “targeting.”

We all know the yellow pages are dead That is a fact. Lawn care flyers and door hangers are a joke. “Word of mouth” recommendations are the best of course, but what if your customer base is still small? How do you get more customer’s?

In 2009 there is only one place to consistently get more customers, and that is the World Wide Web.  Nielson Ratings (they rate all advertising, not just TV) said in there 2008 report that %80 of ALL customers use the internet when looking for a lawn care company, plumber, pool cleaner or any local service. So this means that if you are not on the first page for a search of  “lawn service Fort Worth Tx” (if you cut grass in Fort Worth) you lose access to %80 of all your potential customers.
